It was February and I got the itch to ride my motorcycle after the long cold Utah winter. The weather was questionable in Utah, so I scouted some roads to ride in Colorado before I left, where the weather looked much better. I wanted to scout a few new roads in Colorado, so I saddled up and headed over to Moab to beat the storm in Utah. The first stop had to be at Ray’s Tavern in Green River.
Moab was nice and the storms stayed away from Eastern Utah. I started the day eating biscuits and gravy at the famous Moab diner, then worked my way into Colorado.
The snow capped mountains and blue skies in Colorado were a welcome change from the long Utah winter. It was cooler, but sunny, so I turned on the heated jacket and enjoyed the curves.
As I came back into Utah, the weather wasn’t as nice and I hit a little rain in Vernal. Then coming back through the mountains I passed Strawberry reservoir and watched some fishermen on the ice, others were flying kites. Overall a fantastic ride in the winter.
